Design your own piece of Jewellery
At RS diamonds we strive not only to provide our clients with the best quality goods but also to ensure that each piece is unique and designed to your exact specifications. Designing your own piece of jewellery is a rewarding experience.
The steps involved in designing your own unique piece are as follows:
- The first consultation establishes what kind of piece you are looking for and your specific tastes in jewellery. We also establish a budget for each piece to ensure that we provide the best possible piece within your own budget requirements.
- Upon the initial consultation we will source a selection of goods based on the criteria established in the initial consultation. E.g. if you are designing an engagement ring we would source a selection of diamonds for you to choose from. It is important to note that we will only show you goods that are certified and have met our stringent quality requirements.
- It is in this selection process that R & S diamonds adds enormous value to the first time diamond buyer. You may not be aware of the fact that goods in the diamond market are often discounted because they are of inferior quality because they have been lazer drilled, glass filled or colour treated. Another important aspect of diamond selection is ensuring that each diamond that we present to our clients has been well cut to allow for that brilliant radiance a diamond should produce.
- We also in the second consultation discuss design options in the form of rough sketches.
- Once you have selected the right stone and have decided on an initial design we will create an electronic drawing of your desing to exact specifications. This design is used to ensure quality of workmanship in that you will get exactly what you have signed off on.
- The last step in the process is for our jewellers to create your unique piece. This usually takes between 5 – 10 days depending on the difficulty of the design and workload in the workshop.
